Everton fans have been left frustrated after discovering that Tottenham paid £20million less for Richarlison than first budgeted.
The Toffees were handed a ten-point deduction by the Premier League on Friday after breaching financial rules.

Sean Dyche’s side, who have appealed, now sit in the relegation zone as a result and have just four points rather than 14.
An independent commission filed a 41-page report and mentions Richarlison’s move to Spurs in the summer of 2022.
The Brazilian signed in a deal rising to £60m with potential add-ons, but the report says that Everton had budgeted £80m from his sale.
“Everton considered that the sale on 30 June 2022 of Mr Richarlison to Tottenham Hotspur FC for the sum of £60million, rather than the sum of £80million that it had budgeted to receive, to be directly attributable to its PSR calculation difficulties,” it said.
Everton’s punishment has come from breaching the Premier League’s profitability and sustainability rules [PSR] and fans have raged amid the details of the Richarlison transfer.
Taking to X, one said with a sad emoji: “I think we all knew that at the time.”
“Spurs knew we had to sell because of FFP. We were already skint and FFP made it worse,” added a second.
A third said: “We were forced to sell Richarlison to help with FFP and it was all in vain.”

This supporter meanwhile posted: “So basically took advantage of a fire sale scenario.”
Another stated: “That’s what happens on a fire sale & you are desperate for money.”
It hasn’t proven to be money well spent for Tottenham yet, with Richarlison scoring just five goals in 46 appearances in all competitions.
Meanwhile, the Toffees now face the risk of relegation to the Championship, something they have avoided in the past two seasons.
talkSPORT understands the sanction is in relation to interest payments on their new Bromley Moore Dock Stadium.
Burnley, Leeds United and Leicester City are set to sue Everton, who may have to pay around £300million in damages.
This comes as all three sides were relegated from the Premier League from 2022 to 2023, with the Toffees staying up in both years instead.
