This time last year, Pittsburgh Pirates rookie pitcher Paul Skenes was celebrating hearing his name called as the first pick in the MLB Draft. Just 60 days ago, he struck out seven Chicago Cubs in his major league debut. Now, he’s headed to his first All-Star Game as the first player to be taken No. 1 overall and make the All-Star game in the following season. With 78 strikeouts in 59 ⅓ innings and a fastball that averages 99 miles per hour, Skenes’ starts have become one of baseball’s must-see events.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Whether he starts the game or comes in from the bullpen, Skenes will almost certainly make an appearance in this year’s Midsummer Classic. With that being said, can you name the winning pitcher from every MLB All-Star Game?
