One of the biggest and wealthiest brands in world football, Tottenham Hotspur was founded in 1882. Based in north London, the club was originally called Hotspur FC. The club has won plenty of silverware over its storied past including eight FA Cups, four League Cups, seven Community Shields, a UEFA Cup Winners Cup and two UEFA Cups. It has also won the league on two occasions – although the last time it achieved this feat was in the distant past, back in the season of 1960/61.
Currently managed by Nuno Espirito Santo, the club has in the past had relationships with many top managers from around the world. Some of the biggest names and the most successful of these include, most recently, Jose Mourinho, Mauricio Pochettino and Andre Villas-Boas. Going back a little further in history other names that stand out include Frank Brettell, Arthur Turner, John Cameron, David Pleat and Harry Redknapp.
Spurs are currently led by England captain Harry Kane. He is just the latest in a long line of stars that have worn the famous white shirt and blue shorts. Other stars include Paul Gascoigne, David Ginola, Sol Campbell, Gary Lineker, Chris Waddle, Jimmy Greaves and Jurgen Klinsmann.
The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was built on the site of their previous home White Hart Lane, which was their base from 1899 until 2017.
