MANE TO HAVE MEDICAL AT AL-NASSR
According to reports, Sadio Mane is expected to undergo his medical examination at Al-Nassr today, as the Saudi Pro League team has reached a £34 million agreement to sign him from Bayern Munich.
If the deal is finalised, Mane will earn a staggering £34 million per year (£650,000 per week) while playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo at the club. The 31-year-old is set to sign a four-year contract, running until June 2027, which could see him earn around £136 million in total.
The completion of the paperwork is contingent on him passing his medical.
After being a vital part of Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool team for six years, Mane made a £35 million move to the Allianz Arena in June 2022. The deal included a £27.5 million base fee with an additional £7.5 million in performance-based add-ons, which will not be triggered now that Mane is departing Bayern early in his tenure.
Initially brought in to become a regular fixture in the first-team squad, Mane’s time at Bayern was marred by his falling out of favour with Thomas Tuchel after an incident where he punched teammate Leroy Sane following a Champions League defeat against Manchester City in April.
During his debut season, the Senegal international made 38 appearances for the Bavarian giants across all competitions, scoring 12 goals, but failed to consistently perform at the level expected.
