Tyreek Hill missed out on a pair of Super Bowls after the star wide receiver was traded from the Kansas City Chiefs to the Miami Dolphins, and he admitted that it was hard seeing his former team win a championship in its first season without him.
Making an appearance on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, Hill was candid about his experience seeing the Chiefs win Super Bowl 57.
“The first year that they went, me and my wife, we took a trip to Tokyo because it was kind of hard for me,” Hill said. “I don’t want to look at no game, I don’t want to look at nothing. She was like ‘Babe, let’s just go to Tokyo, let’s just get away from it and let’s do our thing.'”
When the Chiefs won the Super Bowl this past season, Hill said that it was easier to watch Kansas City win, and he even was rooting for his former teammates.
“The second year, this year when they won, I watched the whole game,” Hill said. “I was like ‘Y’all gotta win this thing.’ You feel me? I’m cool now. But the first year it was kind of hard, trying to get over that hump of seeing the guys do their thing out there.”

Hill got the chance to win one Super Bowl with the Chiefs in 2019, but he was traded to the Dolphins ahead of the 2022 season, meaning he missed out on Kansas City’s back-to-back championships.
Things have worked out for Hill since the trade, as he has notched back-to-back seasons with more than 1,700 receiving yards, but he’s still looking to get over the hump and lead Miami to a Super Bowl.
