Matheus Nicolau’s last victory was an emphatic finish.
Nicolau (19-3-1 MMA, 7-2 UFC) brought his five-fight winning streak into the octagon against Matt Schnell at UFC on ESPN 42 in December 2022. It was a big flyweight matchup for Nicolau, who was running hot in his second stint with the UFC.
In the second round, Nicolau floored Schnell with punches to extend his winning streak to six.

Nicolau returns to the octagon this Saturday in the main event of UFC on ESPN 55, which takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. He meets Alex Perez (24-8 MMA, 6-4 UFC) in a fight between flyweights hunting for a No. 1 contender spot.
