The UFC heads to St. Louis on May 11, and heavyweights will take over a stacked fight night on ESPN+.
It is the UFC’s first visit to St. Louis since 2018. Derrick Lewis and Rodrigo Nascimento compete in the main event.
Lewis holds the record for most knockouts (14) in UFC history. “The Black Beast” is 2-4 in his last six fights and 1-1 in his previous two. After ending a three-fight losing streak in July 2023, he lost against Jailton Almeida in November. Almeida secured the most ground control time in UFC heavyweight history (21:10) against Lewis.
Nascimento impressed on Dana White’s Contender Series and is 5-1 with one no-contest in the octagon. The Brazilian would have been on a four-fight win streak heading into the Lewis fight. However, a win against Alan Baudot in 2021 got overturned after Nascimento tested positive for an illegal substance. He has six wins via knockout.

Lewis is ranked 12th in the division, while Nascimento is ranked 15th. In a division at a standstill thanks to champion Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic, Lewis and Nascimento look to move up in the rankings.

Joaquin Buckley vs. Nursulton Ruziboev; Welterweights
The co-main event will feature St. Louis’ Joaquin Buckley vs. Nursulton Ruziboev.
Buckley is 8-4 in the octagon. He is known for his viral spinning back kick in 2020 against Impa Kasanganay. On a three-fight win streak, Buckley beat Vicente Luque via TKO in March. Ranked 11th in the welterweight rankings, Buckley campaigned for and got his wish to fight in front of family and friends.
Ruziboev has been fighting since 2014 and has 12 wins via knockout and 20 via submission. The Uzbek is on an impressive ten-fight win streak, with all contests ending via some form of a finish. He also last fought in March.
Alonzo Menifield vs. Carlos Ulberg; Light Heavyweights
Alonzo Menifield faces Carlos Ulberg at light heavyweight.
Ranked eleventh at light heavyweight, Menifield is 4-0-1 in his last four fights. After submitting Jimmy Crute in July 2023, he ended the year with a decision win against Dustin Jacoby. Menifield’s previous loss was in 2021.
Ulberg is on a five-fight win streak, with his last loss also in 2021. The Dana White’s Contender Series standout has six wins via knockout, three being in the octagon.
