A trip to the NHL Western Conference finals is on the line when the Canucks host the Oilers in Game 7 of their second-round series on Monday night.
Vancouver and Edmonton have alternated wins and losses through the first six games of the series. In Game 6 on Saturday night, the Oilers staved off elimination with an emphatic 5-1 victory.
Connor McDavid notched three assists, fellow All-Star Leon Draisaitl added two assists, and Edmonton accounted for four unanswered goals. The game was tied 1-1 after the first period, but Stuart Skinner — starting in goal for the first time since being pulled in Game 3 — rose to the occasion.
