Nick Kyrgios returned to the court in June after a long injury spell, but will the Australian be ready in time for Wimbledon?
The world No. 33 had a magical run at last year’s event, reaching his maiden grand slam singles final.

Will Nick Kyrgios play at Wimbledon?
Kyrgios’ participation status for Wimbledon is still uncertain for 2023.
He marked his long-awaited return to the court at the Stuttgart Open on June 14, losing to Wu Yibing in straight sets.
Kyrgios was seen suffering pain during the match, casting doubt over his Wimbledon chances.
The Canberran has since withdrawn from the upcoming Halle Open and Mallorca Open tournaments, citing his long-standing knee injury.
However, he still intends to do everything possible to participate at the All England Club.
“Very unfortunate news. I won’t be able to compete at Halle this year. I’m still dealing with a couple of things with my knee. Just trying to give myself the best opportunity to compete at Wimbledon,” Kyrgios said in mid-June.
“As you all know, that tournament means a lot to me and I just want to do everything right by my body.
“I tried everything here in Halle the last couple of days, but then I had to make the decision to pull out. I want, when I play, to deliver a performance like last year when I was in the semi-finals. But that will really not be possible.”
The 28-year-old previously hadn’t played a professional event since October last year, before undergoing knee surgery and prioritising recovery.
His last grand slam tournament match was a quarter-final loss to Karen Khachanov at the US Open in 2022.
Will Nick Kyrgios be seeded at Wimbledon this year?
If Kyrgios is fit enough for Wimbledon, it is likely he will be seeded for the event.
Despite being currently ranked as the world No. 33, the Australian falls into the top 32 (pending further withdrawals).

What is Nick Kyrgios’ record at Wimbledon?
Kyrgios had a Wimbledon debut to remember, defeating Rafael Nadal en route to reaching the quarter-finals in 2014.
He secured some solid finishes in the years following but was unable to make the next step.
Then, in 2022, he secured a breakthrough, reaching the final in a memorable run at the All England Club.

Nick Kyrgios’ last Wimbledon match and result
It was a career-best tournament for Kyrgios last time out at the All England Club, capped off by a blockbuster decider against Novak Djokovic.
Djokovic ultimately secured his 21st grand slam and a seventh Wimbledon title by beating Kyrgios 4-6 6-3 6-4 7-6 (3) in the men’s final.
The Serb had to come from a set down to overcome the Australian, who was playing in his first-ever singles grand slam final.
Djokovic hadn’t even taken a set off Kyrgios in their previous two meetings, but the No.1 seed stood tallest on Centre Court – a court the four-time defending champion hasn’t lost on since 2013.
When is Wimbledon 2023?
The 2023 edition of Wimbledon begins on July 3 with the main draw of the men’s and women’s singles.
The tournament will officially wrap up on July 16, the day of the men’s singles final.
