Qualifying for the International Championship in Sheffield proved to be a good day for some of the biggest names in snooker on Thursday. Top-16 members Mark Allen, Mark Selby, Mark Williams, Kyren Wilson and Jack Lisowski returned from their trip to the Shanghai Masters to advance to the last 64 of an event that will be broadcast live by Eurosport and discovery+ in November.
Day makes a maximum 147 break in International Championship qualifying
Mark Williams hit two century breaks (118 and 112) in a 6-0 win over Rebecca Kenna to book his spot in the last 64 of the International Championship.
The three-time world champion also made runs of 58 and 57 to secure a trip to China for the final stages in the city of Tianjin – 5-12 November live on Eurosport and discovery+.
He was joined in qualifying for the main event on Thursday at Ponds Forge in Sheffield by fellow top-16 players Mark Allen, Mark Selby, Kyren Wilson and Jack Lisowski.
2018 International Championship winner Allen rolled in 124 and 113 in a 6-2 win over Ma Hailong with two-time International champion Selby contributing 75 and 102 in a 6-2 win against Muhammad Asif.

Jack Lisowski overcame He Guoqiang 6-3 with three breaks over 70, while Kyren Wilson completed a 6-3 win over Adam Duffy with five 50+ breaks.
