Reigning Olympic champion Kristian Blummenfelt was forced to settle for a top-10 finish in his first race of 2024, as the Norwegian titan struggled on the run at WTCS Yokohama.
Up front, American Morgan Pearson clinched a maiden WTCS victory, as Australian duo Matt Hauser and Luke Willian secured second and third with two brilliant performances.
French Olympic medal contenders Leo Bergere and Vincent Luis just missed out on the medals, whilst reigning world champion Dorian Coninx was unfortunately forced to withdraw following a bike crash.
