Best Buy is selling an Asus Chromebook with a 14-inch FHD screen, 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage, and an AMD Ryzen 3 7320C APU for US$279. This is a savings of $220, or roughly 44% off the Chromebook’s retail price.

This Asus Chromebook has a 14-inch 1920×1080 touchscreen and can be folded backward for use as a tablet. It’s powered by AMD’s Ryzen 3 7320C APU, which has four Zen 2 cores clocked at 2.4 GHz with a 4.1 GHz single-core boost. All four cores are hyperthreaded for eight total threads.
Graphics are handled by an integrated AMD Radeon 610M, which has two RDNA 2 CUs and 128 shaders. The GPU is clocked at 1.9 GHz. Considering Chrome OS’s lightweight demands, the laptop should fly through tasks with ease.
The Chromebook also packs 8 GB of RAM and a 128 GB SSD, which are quite high specs for a Chromebook. It should be noted that the Chromebook has an SSD for storage instead of the far more common (and significantly slower) eMMC. (The Best Buy page doesn’t mention whether the SSD operates at SATA or PCIe speeds.)
Ports include two USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 ports (both with PD and DisplayPort support), a single HDMI port, one USB-A 3.1 Gen 1 ports, a headphone jack, and a microSD card slot.
