BYD Song L DM-i Model’s Range Information Exposed

On June 13, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the list of vehicle models eligible for tax reduction benefits for energy-saving and new energy vehicles (the sixty-third batch), which includes information on the battery and driving range of the BYD Song L DM-i.

According to the specifications, the Song L DM-i is equipped with a 1.5-liter engine with a maximum power of 74 kilowatts, matched with battery packs of 18.316 kilowatt-hours and 26.593 kilowatt-hours respectively. The corresponding pure electric range under WLTC conditions are 91 kilometers and 128 kilometers, with energy consumption per hundred kilometers being 4.95 liters and 4.98 liters.

Previously, this new car has completed its declaration at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, with the main information as follows:

The new car has dimensions of 4780/1898/1670mm (length/width/height), a wheelbase of 2782mm, and a total weight of 2375kg. From the optional photos, it can be seen that the car can also be equipped with the “Song L” badge, and its appearance features are consistent with BYD’s official preheated Song L DM-i.

In terms of power, the car is equipped with an engine with a displacement of 1498ml and a maximum power output of 74kW; the peak power of the permanent magnet synchronous motor is 160kW.

Song L DM-i inherits the design language of the dynasty family, with a front face design similar to Qin L DM-i, featuring a large hexagonal grille and headlights connected by black trim. The side adopts a fastback shape, while also equipped with concealed door handles and rear privacy glass.
