From January to June 2023, CATL achieved a total income of RMB 189 billion ($27 billion), a year-on-year growth of 67.5%, according to its half-yearly report. The company’s main business scope comprises four segments: power batteries, energy storage batteries, battery materials and recycling, and mineral resources. In the first half of 2023, its power batteries sector accounted for 73.7% of its total revenue, and its energy storage battery business saw a year-on-year increase of 119.7%. CATL is China’s leading player in the field of battery manufacturing.
