The OneMix 5 is a forthcoming compact laptop from One-netbook, which may be better known now for its ONEXPLAYER gaming handheld series. The OneMix 5 will build on the ONEMIX 4S with the same Intel Alder Lake-U series processor but a tweaked design that is reminiscent of a smaller Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio.

One-netbook has revealed initial details about the OneMix 5, a successor to both the One Mix 4 and ONEMIX 4S. Nonetheless, One-netbook appears set on equipping the OneMix 5 with the same Intel Alder Lake-U processor as the ONEMIX 4S, which it launched in January after an extended gestation period. Specifically, the OneMix 5 will be available with the Core i7-1250U, a 10-core and 12-thread part that also has an Iris Xe Graphics G7 iGPU with 96 Execution Units (EUs).

In short, it seems that One-netbook has crossed the design of the ONEMIX 4S with an Acer ConceptD 3 Ezel or a Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio. As the images embedded below show, the OneMix 5 can be used as a laptop, tablet or with its display pulled forwards for a more immersive viewing experience. Supposedly, the new ONEMIX retains a 10.1-inch and 2,560 x 1,600-pixel display with pen support (4,096 pressure levels), unchanged from the ONEMIX 4S.

One-netbook has not revealed full details about the OneMix 5 yet, nor when it will be available. Still, the company has confirmed that the device will ship with a 41.8 Wh battery that supports 65 W charging, 16 GB or 32 GB of LPDDR5-5200 RAM and up to 4 TB of PCIe 4.0 storage. The compact machine will feature multiple USB ports too, including USB4, as well as a modem that supports Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity. Currently, One-netbook hopes to start selling the OneMix 5 later this summer, although prices are unknown at this stage.
