The Moaan inkPalm 5 Pro is Xiaomi’s latest E-reader. Equipped with a 5.2-inch E Ink display, the Moaan inkPalm 5 Pro runs Android, has 64 GB of built-in storage and 24 colour temperature stages, among other features.
Xiaomi has started selling the Moaan inkPalm 5 Pro, seemingly a follow-up to last year’s Moaan inkPalm 5. Also Xiaomi’s first E-reader of 2023, the Moaan inkPalm 5 Pro has a 5.2-inch E Ink Carta HD display that resolves at 1,280 x 780 pixels with a 284 PPI pixel density. Additionally, the E-reader runs Android, but only Android Oreo 8.1, unlike the recent ONYX BOOX Palma.
Moreover, the Moaan inkPalm 5 Pro has an adjustable colour temperature with 24 stages. Also, the E-reader has a 1,300 mAh battery that can be recharged via USB Type-C, as well as a modem that supports modern Bluetooth and Wi-Fi standards. According to Good e-Reader, Xiaomi has complemented the small battery with a quad-core chipset clocked at 1.8 GHz, plus 1 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.
Thus, the Moaan inkPalm 5 Pro is a budget device, which is reflected in its price. For reference, the E-reader measures 143 x 76.6 x 6.9 mm and weighs 115 g, in part thanks to its small battery.
