You can now limit how much memory Microsoft Edge uses

Microsoft has released version 125 of the Microsoft Edge browser and it’s an intriguing one with more news than usual.

One of the most interesting additions is a new slider that lets you decide how much working memory Edge is allowed to use, which could be a key reason that pushes you to consider switching from Chrome to Edge.

The slider ranges from 1GB to 16GB (or whatever amount of memory you have on your computer) and can be found in the browser settings.

Note: If you restrict the memory limit too much, you may experience performance problems while browsing. Think about how much memory you can spare and make sure to give Edge enough to do its thing.

Other new features in version 125 include: the ability to customize the appearance of Microsoft Edge workspaces, new Microsoft Purview dialogues, and a number of new policy options (including support for generating QR codes directly in the browser).
