Introduced as the first PCIe 5.0 SSD with this capacity and also the first to promise speeds of over 10,000 MB/s, the 4 TB Crucial T700 is now down to US$466.90 from US$599.99. This 22% discount brings this extreme SSD to the lowest price in 30 days on Amazon. The version with a heatsink is now US$499.99 instead of US$629.99.
Although PCIe 5.0 SSDs need proper cooling and versions for laptops are not available yet, some desktop PC users are already taking advantage of the extreme speeds these pieces of storage hardware can provide. The Crucial T700 lineup is one of the first PCIe 5.0 SSD lineups to hit Amazon. Now, those interested can take advantage of the lowest price in 30 days for the 4 TB model (CT4000T700SSD3), which is 22% down from US$599.99 to US$466.90.
The aforementioned discounted Crucial T700 model features a thin heatspreader, promising sequential read/write speeds up to 12,400/11,800 MB/s, as well as random reads/writes up to 1,500 K IOPS. Hardware-wise, this SSD is made using Micron 232-layer 3D TLC NAND chips.
The 4 TB model that comes with a generous aluminum and nickel-plated copper heatsink is labeled CT4000T700SSD5 and currently goes for US$499.99. This figure is 21% down from the US$629.99 list price which, just as it happens with the model mentioned earlier, is also the same price recorded on Amazon for it by the popular price tracking website Camelcamelcamel.
At the time of publishing, the Crucial T700 family had 130 ratings on Amazon and a global rating of 4.3/5. The breakdown by feature highlights the ease of installation (5/5), storage capacity (4.6/5), gaming performance (3.8), and value for money (unsurprisingly, the lowest score with just 3.5/5).

In my early school days, I hated writing and having to make up stories. A decade later, I started to enjoy it. Since then, I published a few offline articles and then I moved to the online space, where I contributed to major websites that are still present online as of 2021 such as Softpedia, Brothersoft, Download3000, but I also wrote for multiple blogs that have disappeared over the years. I’ve been riding with the Notebookcheck crew since 2013 and I am not planning to leave it anytime soon. In love with good mechanical keyboards, vinyl and tape sound, but also smartphones, streaming services, and digital art.
