ZeppOS 3.0 is being rolled out to the Amazfit GTR 4 smartwatch via update version 6.3.2.3. The new software brings a range of features, including a refreshed user interface, additional wellness tools and various improvements to enhance your workouts. However, some users have reported issues after installing the update.
Zepp Health has released software Version 6.3.2.3 for the Amazfit GTR 4 smartwatch. The update brings ZeppOS 3.0 to the older model, in a move that has surprised some users. The latest version brings new designs, an enhanced user experience and improved features. The official change log notes that the Control Center, Shortcut Cards and Widgets have been redesigned, with personalization options available.
Version 6.2.3.2 allows you to choose a Grid View for your apps, and Button Mode lets you use the up and down buttons for select and return functions. The system font has been improved with support for more emojis, and you can now sync your connected phone’s Do Not Disturb mode with your Amazfit smartwatch. Other minor improvements include night-time effects for animations in the weather app and three new Breathe modes: Relax, Sleeping and Focus. On the exercise front, Zepp Coach has been enhanced with the addition of running training plans, Triathlon and other multisport activities and support for connections to heart rate straps and cycling power meters. Plus, supported features now include training templates and interval training for specific sports, and a post-workout heart rate measurement.
Zepp notes that the update is 214.38MB, so it could take a while to download; the company recommends downloading the update by going to Watch Settings> System> Check for Updates. It is worth noting that a couple of GTR 4 users have reported on Reddit battery drain issues after downloading. Owners of the smartwatch from various countries have also indicated that they are still waiting to receive the update, with rumors suggesting the rollout has been paused while the company irons out several issues. It remains to be seen precisely when Zepp Health will complete the rollout of software version 6.3.2.3 to the Amazfit GTR 4.
