Just this week, Asus teased the arrival of the ROG Ally for the Indian market, a month after its debut in global markets. The brand confirmed that the handheld gaming console will launch in India with a tweet that read, “Get ready for gaming that never stops.” Now, according to a Flipkart listing, the sale date of the Asus ROG Ally has also been revealed.

Although Asus hasn’t announced the sale date, Flipkart’s microsite states that the Asus ROG Ally will go on sale in India on July 7, 2023. According to previous reports, the handheld gaming console could cost ₹71,999 for the low-end Ryzen Z1 version, and ₹79,999 for the high-end Ryzen Z1 Extreme model.
To compare, the Asus ROG Ally costs $599 (roughly ₹49,200) for the Ryzen Z1 version, while the Ryzen Z1 Extreme is priced at $699 (roughly ₹57,400) in global markets.
Asus ROG Ally Features
The Asus ROG Ally sports a 7-inch IPS screen with a Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The display features a peak brightness of 500 nits, response time of 7ms, FreeSync Premium, and Dolby Vision support. The panel is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass Victus.
Powering the high-end version of the handheld gaming console is AMD’s Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor, which is paired with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD storage. Meanwhile, the lower-end model features a Ryzen Z1 processor. As for the operating system, the ROG Ally runs on Windows 11.
The Asus ROG Ally features a 40Wh battery with support for 65W charging. Connectivity options for the console include Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6E, a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a ROG XG Mobile Interface.
Additionally, the ROG Ally comes with Hi-Res Audio, stereo speakers, and support for Dolby Atmos. For better performance, the console features a dual fan design with fluid bearings and a heat pipe.
