ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) Malaysia has revealed the pricing and pre-order promotions for its highly anticipated AMD Strix Point gaming laptops.
The lineup includes the Zephyrus G16 and the ASUS TUF Gaming A14, both featuring the new AMD Ryzen 9 AI HX 370 processor.
These laptops combine sleek, ultraportable designs with powerful AI-enhanced performance, making them ideal for gaming and productivity.
Zephyrus G16: The Future of AI Computing
The new Zephyrus G16 is set to revolutionize the gaming laptop market with its AMD Ryzen 9 AI HX 370 processor.
This 12-core, 24-thread powerhouse is equipped with an AMD Ryzen AI XDNA 2 NPU, delivering 50 TOPS of AI performance alongside 31 TOPS from the CPU and its integrated Radeon 800M graphics.
The Zephyrus G16 can also be configured with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU, providing up to 321 TOPS of AI performance at a maximum TGP of 105 watts.
The Zephyrus G16 retains its thin-and-light design, crafted from CNC-milled aluminum and featuring a customizable Slash Lighting array on the lid. It boasts an ROG Nebula display with an OLED panel, 16:10 aspect ratio, 2.5K resolution, and 240 Hz refresh rate, making it perfect for gaming and content creation.
The display is also VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified for stunning HDR experiences.
Inside, the Zephyrus G16 includes 32 GB of LPDDR5X-7500 memory and supports the new SD Express 7.0 standard for ultrafast SD card performance. It is also the first ROG laptop to support WiFi 7, offering higher speeds and less congestion with compatible routers.
The laptop’s AI capabilities enhance productivity in AI-enabled applications, including Windows Copilot tools, and support gaming features like DLSS 3 super resolution for superior image quality and frame rates. With a combined 402 TOPS of AI processing power, the Zephyrus G16 allows multiple AI applications to run simultaneously, changing the way gamers, creators, and engineers work and play.
Supporting this powerful hardware is ROG Intelligent Cooling, featuring liquid metal on the CPU and a new fiber-and-mesh heat-pipe system with a tri-fan design and second-generation Arc Flow Fans.
TUF Gaming A14: Compact Powerhouse
For the first time, ASUS introduces a 14-inch form factor to the TUF Gaming lineup. The new TUF Gaming A14 is built for portability and power, weighing just 1.46 kg and measuring 1.69 cm thick. Despite its compact size, the A14 supports up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU with a 100 W maximum TGP, providing exceptional gaming performance.
The TUF Gaming A14 also features dual-channel LPDDR5 memory and two M.2 2280 SSD slots for extensive storage options. USB power delivery ensures easy on-the-go charging with wide compatibility via USB-C.
Availability and Pricing
The ROG Zephyrus G16 (AMD) will be priced in Malaysia starting at RM11,499, while the ASUS TUF Gaming A14 will be priced at RM7,599. Both laptops come with pre-order promotions worth up to RM999 from 17th July to 31st July 2024, while stocks last.
