There are a lot of great streaming devices out there, but if you’re already in the Apple ecosystem, going for an Apple TV makes a lot of sense. Not only do you get a streaming device, but you also get access to the App Store and all the apps and games on it, so it’s a great alternative to having everything on your phone. Of course, Apple TVs tend to be quite expensive, so if you’re looking to grab one, you’ll want to nab some sort of offer.

There are deals to be had on various Apple TV boxes, so make sure you’re choosing the one that’s right for you. They’ll all stream content, but they can have different storage specs, Siri remotes and resolution support.

Best Apple TV 4K deals

If you have a 4K TV at home and want to take advantage of it, the Apple TV 4K is for you. The 2022 model that went on sale late last year has an upgraded, modern A15 Bionic chip powering it; HDR10 Plus support; a USB-C Siri Remote; and double the storage as standard. It also starts at $129, down from the previous $179 starting price, though you’ll need to spring for the $149 128GB model if you want Ethernet support, which was previously included across the board.

This 2022 Apple TV 4K has been our recommendation among the tech giant’s streaming boxes, as its significant processor jump should provide more longevity.

The 2022 Apple TV 4K features a modern A15 Bionic processor, more storage, a new USB-C powered Siri Remote and a lower starting price than prior models. It has seen slight discounts since its launch, but not right now unfortunately. It’s also worth mentioning that if you want an Ethernet connection, you’ll need to spring for the 128GB version.

Again, the latest 128GB Apple TV 4K is listed at its full price most places, with only B&H offering a slight discount. This version has double the storage of the entry-level model and also has that built-in Ethernet port.

Though it’s now a generation old, the 2021 Apple TV 4K is still a decent option, especially when you can find it on sale. Unfortunately, it’s getting a little hard to come by since it was discontinued by Apple. However, we do still see deals pop up occasionally and we’ll update this post as we find them. This model comes in two variations, one with 32GB of storage and the other with 64GB, and it runs Apple’s A12 Bionic chip (similar to what was in 2018’s iPhone XS and XR). It also includes a Siri Remote that charges through Lightning and the Apple TV box itself has Ethernet support as standard.

The now previous-gen Apple TV 4K model is getting harder to find since it was discontinued last year, but you can still find it in stock at Amazon.

The 64GB 2021 Apple TV 4K is still available at Amazon and with a discount, although you might be better off choosing a newer model if you want all the latest chips inside.

Best Apple TV HD deals

With the unveiling of the 2022 Apple TV 4K, Apple killed off the Apple TV HD. The move makes sense given the new lower starting price for the 4K model and the fact that the Apple TV HD was essentially a 2015 piece of hardware with a 2021 remote. The A8 chip powering it was getting a little long in the tooth, plus ultra HD TVs are way more accessible these days, with a plethora of 4K TV deals available.

Unless the Apple TV HD is on a deep discount, you should avoid it.

We’ve seen the Apple TV HD on sale for as little as $59, which was a record low price for the fifth-gen device and made it a decent option for those wanting to spend the absolute least on an Apple streamer. It’s back up to $90 right now, which isn’t much of a bargain, so you should really get a 4K-capable model if you can spare the extra cash.

Best Apple TV Remote deals

In 2021, Apple released a new Siri Remote that ditched the previous generation’s design and trackpad and brought better buttons, making it much easier to use. One of the great things is that you don’t need to upgrade your Apple TV to use the new remote. You can seamlessly connect it to your existing Apple TV.

Apple gave the remote a minor upgrade with its 2022 Apple TV revision, dropping the Lightning charging port in favor of one with USB-C. Functionally, however, both last year’s remote and the 2022 USB-C versions are identical and work with the same Apple TV devices.

If you want to keep your existing Apple TV but despise the remote, you can ditch the somewhat annoying trackpad and upgrade to make the experience better overall. While there are no direct discounts on the USB-C-powered remote right now, you can nab some freebies at Best Buy where a 30-day trial of FuboTV streaming is thrown in, as are three months of Apple TV Plus and four months of both Apple Music and Apple News Plus for new or returning subscribers. Want to pay the very least? You can save a dollar at Amazon but the freebies are probably worth paying the extra at Best Buy.

Refurbished Apple TV deals

The advantage to buying a refurbished device directly from Apple is that you can save some cash and you’ll still get a full warranty should any issues arise. Apple’s supply of refurb Apple TV models fluctuates, with devices dropping as low as $99 at times. You can currently grab the 64GB model for $109 or the 128GB model for $129, and they both offer $20 off.
