The Acer Aspire Vero 16, a new addition to the Vero lineup, is Acer’s latest eco-friendly laptop offering. Adhering to strict international standards for carbon neutrality, this new model succeeds the previous year’s Aspire Vero 14. Equipped with the innovative Intel Core Ultra processor, featuring Intel AI Boost and Wi-Fi 7 compatibility, the Vero 16 enhances user experience and performance. Specifically, Acer has integrated the Intel Core Ultra 7 processor into this model.
The laptop’s standout features include a 16-inch WQXGA screen (2560 x 1600 pixels) with a 16:10 aspect ratio, ensuring full coverage of the sRGB color spectrum. A WUXGA touchscreen option (1920 x 1200 pixels) is also available. The device is further equipped with Bluetooth LE Audio, dual USB-C ports supporting both Thunderbolt 4 and USB 4, and a full HDMI 2.1 port.
User experience is enhanced with the AcerSense app for managing battery life and Intel Unison 2.0, ensuring smooth connectivity across multiple devices. The Aspire Vero 16 promises a battery life of up to 10.5 hours on a single charge.
The laptop also includes a 1440p QHD webcam with AI-supported Acer PurifiedVoice for clear video and audio during conferencing. It comes with 16 GB of LPDDR5 memory and supports up to 2 TB of dual PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage, which is upgradable.
In line with its commitment to sustainability, the Aspire Vero 16 is available in a Cobblestone Gray finish. The laptop’s chassis is free of volatile organic compounds, paint, or additives and is composed of 60% post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials, reducing CO2 emissions during production. The eco-friendly design extends to the OceanGlass™ touchpad, made from ocean-bound plastic, and the packaging, which is 100% recycled.
The Acer Aspire Vero 16 is set to hit the global market in April 2024 with a starting price of US$749.99 (approximately RM 3,487). Availability and pricing details for Malaysia have not been announced at the time of this report.
