Creative has launched the first true wireless earphones featuring solid state MEMS-based drivers, the Aurvana Ace and Aurvana Ace 2, after partnering with xMEMS earlier this year. The hybrid setup has a MEMS driver and a 10 mm dynamic driver for a 5 Hz to 40 kHz frequency range. The Ace 2 also features Adaptive ANC, Bluetooth 5.3 LE and support for AptX Lossless and LC3 audio codecs.
Earlier this year, we had reported about Creative’s partnership with xMEMS for developing earphones featuring solid-state MEMS-based drivers. Now, that partnership has finally resulted in not one, but two products, the newly launched Aurvana Ace and Aurvana Ace 2 true wireless earphones.
Both models feature a dual driver setup, with one solid state and one 10 mm dynamic driver, expertly tuned to deliver an extra-wide 5 Hz to 40 kHz frequency response. xMEMS’ solid state drivers are manufactured using semiconductor fabrication methods, resulting in highly consistent operation and therefore better phase accuracy and high-frequency response.
The earphones also feature hybrid active noise cancellation, Qualcomm cVc (Clear Voice Capture) technology for improved call quality in noisy environments using 6 microphones per pair, IPX5 certification for water and sweat resistance, and up to 24 hours battery life with the charging case. Creative has equipped the earphones with Bluetooth 5.3 LE Audio and support for LC3, AptX and AptX Adaptive codecs.
