Also included are 16 GB DDR5-4800 RAM, 1 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD storage, a 16-inch IPS screen with 2560×1600 resolution and 240 Hz refresh rate, plus a Thunderbolt 4 connector.
We have seen a few RTX 4050 laptops discounted under US$1,000 in the past months, and now, as we are getting close to the massice Black Fridaydiscounts, it is time for some RTX 4060 laptops to break the US$1,000 threshold. Custom PC maker CyberPowerPC is among the first to offer an RTX 4060 laptop for even lower than US$900. The company’s Tracer V1 Gaming laptop is only US$849 and features decent components too.
Admittedly, it does not pack an Intel Raptor Lake processor, yet the i9-12900HX equipping this model is essentially as fast as the i7-13700HX, which is usually found in laptops costing US$1,300+. The configuration also comes with 16 GB of DDR5-4800 RAM (upgradeable to 64 GB) and 1 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD storage. CyberPowerPC does not mention the TGP for the RTX 4060, however. Looking at the profile of the chassis, the graphics solution should benefit from the full 115 W.
On the display side, the Tracer V1 Gaming laptop features a 16-inch 2560 x 1600 IPS panel with 240 Hz and 100% sRGB color gamut. There is also a webcam with HD resolution.
Port selection includes 1x Thunderbolt 4, 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, 1x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, audio jack and 2.5 GbE jack. Wireless connectivity is provided through a Wi-Fi 6 + BT 5.1 card. A 62.3 Wh battery is also included and CyberPowerPC offers a 1-year limited warranty.

I first stepped into the wondrous IT&C world when I was around seven years old. I was instantly fascinated by computerized graphics, whether they were from games or 3D applications like 3D Max. I’m also an avid reader of science fiction, an astrophysics aficionado, and a crypto geek. I started writing PC-related articles for Softpedia and a few blogs back in 2006. I joined the Notebookcheck team in the summer of 2017 and am currently a senior tech writer mostly covering processor, GPU, and laptop news.
