We’ve reviewed EcoFlow portable battery products on techAU before, but at CES 2024, they announced a new product that takes their product lineup into a whole new category. The DELTA Pro Ultra is the world’s most powerful smart hybrid whole-house battery generator and backup system.
EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra is a residential power backup system designed for both extended outages and daily use. With an unrivalled single-unit capacity of 6kWh, 7200W output and 5.6kW of solar input, it can run an entire home.

With 7,200W output, a single unit can run your entire home, including large home appliances like HVAC systems. When combined with EcoFlow’s new Smart Home Panel 2, the system can be scaled up to 21.6kW of output, enough to power the largest, most demanding households.
The DELTA Pro Ultra can be charged through AC power, solar panels and gas generators, offering maximum flexibility and extended backup time. This creates a highly resilient energy solution, providing users with peace of mind in any scenario. For solar users, the DELTA Pro Ultra seamlessly integrates with both existing rooftop solar systems and flexible solar panels, featuring solar input from 5.6kW up to 16.8kW.

Price and availability
EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra will be available starting Jan. 9 on the EcoFlow website and Amazon.com.
On EcoFlow website, users can purchase DELTA Pro Ultra (inverter and battery) for US$4,999, and the Smart Home Panel 2 is available for purchase at US$1,599.
This is also available as a bundled package with DELTA Pro Ultra for US$6,399 until February 9, after which the prices will be US$5,799 for DELTA Pro Ultra, US$1,899 for Smart Home Panel 2 and US$7,499 for the DELTA Pro Ultra bundle.
There’s currently no word on Australian availability, but I hope they bring this solution down under. In Victoria, Solar Victoria offers interest-free loans to add battery storage to your home. There are currently 2,817 grants remaining, from a total of 4,500 that allow up to $8,800 off the price of the battery.
