Earlier today, Reuters reported that Elon Musk’s private jet arrived at Beijing Capital International Airport at 14:02 in the afternoon. Musk traveled on a Gulfstream G550 with the registration number N272BG. Sources revealed that Musk’s purpose for this trip is to meet with senior Chinese government officials to discuss the possibility of implementing Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) software in China.
According to China Central Television (CCTV) News, at the invitation of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Elon Musk arrived in Beijing this afternoon. He was received by CCPIT Chairman Ren Hongbin for discussions on future cooperation and other related topics.
In a video from the scene, Musk expressed his delight at the progress of electric vehicles in China, stating, “It’s good to see electric vehicles’ making progress in China…all cars will be electric in the future.”
The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade was established in 1952 and is a national organization dedicated to promoting foreign trade and investment. Its primary responsibilities include implementing major national development strategies, facilitating foreign trade, two-way investment, and economic and technological cooperation, as well as promoting institutionalized cooperation with overseas counterparts. The organization also hosts high-level international economic and trade delegations and organizes Chinese economic and trade delegations for visits abroad.
