Summer is almost over, but most people still want to keep the party going for a decent price. With subscription prices for streaming services on the rise, it can be hard to find quality entertainment at a fair price. YouTube has some free movies, but in general, major streamers like Netflix and Apple TV+ require a fee to access their digital treasures.
Amazon, however, is different. Yes, it costs money to subscribe to Prime Video, but the company also has another, less pricey option. For consumers who don’t want to pay the Prime rate for movies and TV shows, it offers an alternative: Freevee, an ad-supported option that has a plethora of top-tier movies and shows, including action movies like F9: The Fast Saga with Vin Diesel, modern TV shows like the MacGyver reboot, comedies like Death Becomes Her, and classic films like In the Heat of the Night. A first-time champion will be crowned on July 15 as No. 6 Ons Jabeur faces off against unseeded Marketa Vondrousova in the women’s singles final of the 2023 Wimbledon Championships. The match will be played on Centre Court at London’s All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. The two women have played twice this year, with Vondrousova winning both matches.
The sixth-seeded Jabeur defeated No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka 6-7 (5), 6-4, 6-3, to reach her second consecutive Wimbledon Final. Jabeur, who has never won a major, is now in her third championship match in her last five Grand Slam tournaments. On the other side of the bracket, Vondrousova beat Elina Svitolina 6-3, 6-3, to become the first unseeded player to reach the Wimbledon Final since Billie Jean King in 1963.

Will there be a season 2 of Jury Duty?
This year’s Emmy nominations have been released, and Amazon Freevee’s Jury Duty was an unexpected nominee in multiple categories. First and foremost is Jury Duty’s nomination for Best Comedy Series, as well as a Supporting Actor in a Comedy nomination for James Marsden, who portrays an exaggerated version of himself in the series. Series scribe Mekki Leeper was also nominated for writing, and Susie Farris was nominated for casting the show.
For this series, the casting was critical, since Jury Duty was a rare fusion of reality shows and scripted comedy. Ronald Gladden was the only cast member who wasn’t aware that the entire series was a farce designed to capture his reactions to the insanity around him. Now that people have seen Jury Duty, it may be hard to fool viewers or unsuspecting cast members the same way twice. That hasn’t stopped fans from wondering: is there going to be another season of Jury Duty?

Barbie vs. Oppenheimer aka “Barbenheimer” aka The Movie Event of the Summer. That’s all anyone can really talk about when it comes to July’s release schedule and for good reason.
