The US variant of the Galaxy S24 Ultra scores 2,234 and 6,870 points in Geekbench’s single and multi-core tests. The smartphone features 8 GB of RAM and runs Android 14.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has finally made its Geekbench debut. Dubbed the SM-S928U, it is the US variant of the smartphone. Rumour has it that Samsung could sell it with up to 2 TB of internal storage. However, the said Geekbench run bears bad news for the base variant.
Like many of the “Ultra” devices that came before, the base Galaxy S24 Ultra will ship with just 8 GB of RAM. If its predecessor is anything to go by, it will be paired with 256 GB of storage. It runs Android 14 out of the box.
This is pitifully low for a smartphone launching in 2024, more so in an era when 24 GB memory is becoming the norm. It also contradicts earlier reports, which stated the Galaxy S24 Ultra would ship with a minimum of 12 GB RAM.
Circling back to the actual listing, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy powering the Galaxy S24 Ultra performs on par with the one found on the Galaxy S24+, with a single-core score of 2,234 and a multi-core score of 6,870.
