Galvanic Games just ended its most productive year in its history. But now the game studio is shutting down.
The Seattle game studio had shipped games including Some Distant Memory, Rapture Rejects, and last fall’s Wizard with a Gun.
“It is with a heavy heart that I announce the closure of Galvanic Games, ” said Patrick Morgan, president and founder of Galvanic Games, in a tweet. “Despite the promising start of Wizard with a Gun, sales are not strong enough to sustain our studio. The last year has been particularly tough for games. While we had numerous encouraging conversations at DICE and GDC, the process of signing new projects, in a good year, takes longer than the runway we had left.”
Galvanic Games closes down.
He said that working with Devolver Digital was a “dream come true for us.”

From launching unique, weird, and interesting games to collaborating with some of my favorite people in the industry all while building a tight-knit productive team focused on a healthy and creative culture.”
He said the dedication, creativity and hard work of every person on the team was extraordinary.
To support team members in the transition, Morgan said he was pointing to those who requested visibility on their LinkedIn pages so others could see their resumes.
