On September 19th, Jiyue announced that its automotive robot, Jiyue 01, has officially rolled off the production line at Geely Hangzhou Bay Intelligent Factory. It has now entered mass production and is in the final stage before delivery. At the same time, Jiyue 01 is officially available for pre-order by customers with a starting price of 259,900 yuan (approximatly ＄35,607).
‘Jiyue’ is the automotive robot brand under Geely Holding Group, and it also falls within the strategic cooperation scope of Baidu, Inc. and Geely. Geely and Baidu have previously collaborated to create the automotive brand ‘Jidu’. However, last month, the officially launched ‘Jidu’ brand in marketing and communication channels was formally replaced by ‘Jiyue’.
Afterwards, Jidu stepped back and relied on the inherited AI technology capabilities from Baidu such as intelligent cockpit, autonomous driving, and ERNIE Bot. They also utilized Geely’s SEA architecture to complete the engineering process from product definition to technological research and development. This enabled them to provide intelligent solutions for whole vehicle production, which will be manufactured by Geely. It should be noted that Xia Yiping, CEO of Jidu, currently serves as the CEO of Jiyue as well.
Since March 2021, Baidu, Inc. and Geely have initiated a strategic cooperation in the field of car manufacturing. From now on, the official mass production and launch of the Jiyue 01 has taken two and a half years.

According to official information, in terms of space, the Jiyue 01 has a total length of 4853mm, width of 1990mm, height of 1611mm, and a wheelbase of 3000mm. The folding space for the rear seats can reach up to 2161L. This model adopts front all-aluminum double wishbone suspension and rear all-aluminum H-Arm multi-link independent suspension. It is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power output of 400kW and can accelerate from zero to one hundred kilometers per hour in just 3.8 seconds. With CLTC technology, it offers a maximum range of up to 720 kilometers on a single charge. Additionally, it features CDC real-time adjustable dampers and Brembo high-performance sport calipers.
In terms of intelligence, the Jiyue 01 is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon Automotive Digital Cockpit Platform 8295 chip, which is the fourth generation. It also utilizes dual NPUs (single NPU with 30TOPS) and a total computing power of 60TOPS to support AI large models for onboard use. The car’s display screen adopts a 35.6-inch 6K ultra-clear integrated screen.
In terms of intelligent driving systems, the Jiyue 01 adopts a mainstream chip solution – dual NVIDIA DRIVE Orin chips. On the software side, it has Baidu Apollo’s advanced autonomous driving capabilities, covering intelligent driving functions in various scenarios such as highways, cities, and parking. Jiyue stated that this system has successfully implemented Navigate on Pilot (NOP) for point-to-point navigation assistance.
For the Geely Hangzhou Bay Intelligent Factory responsible for the mass production of the Jiyue 01, it is pointed out that the factory has achieved a body side panel forming depth of nearly 300mm through the introduction of ‘super deep stamping forming technology’, in order to achieve a curved design similar to that of supercar models.
It is reported that the Jiyue 01 will be officially launched in October. In addition to physical stores, users can also place orders through mini-programs. As for offline channels, Interface News reporters learned from the store sales department that Jiyue currently has more than 20 experience stores nationwide, including stores in Sanlitun, Beijing and Huaxi Live.
