Ultrawide monitors are all the rage for premium desktop PC setups…but that doesn’t mean that you have to drop a huge amount on one. The Gigabyte G34WQC is already a fairly budget model for a 34-inch ultrawide, but today Amazon has it on sale for just $299.99. At $100 off you’re not going to find a better deal, especially if you want a screen that can handle PC gaming.

While the VA panel isn’t anything to write home about in terms of color accuracy or vibrance, the Gigabyte monitor’s 144hz refresh rate and 1ms response time should be more than enough to handle whatever your gaming PC can throw at it. With a resolution of 3440×1440 and a 21:9 aspect ratio, you’ll still need a fairly beefy setup to max it out with the latest games.

This model also features a 1500R curve, more dramatic than most screens at this size. The budget design doesn’t include any USB ports or advanced functions, though it’s compatible with HDR10 and AMD FreeSync. But you do get three video inputs (two DisplayPort, one HDMI) for connecting multiple machines, and a headphone jack for easy access to desktop speakers or a headset.

This Gigabyte monitor goes on sale on a fairly regular basis, so if you’re not flush with cash at the moment, waiting is definitely an option. But if you need something even more affordable, check out this deal for a 27-inch, 1440p MSI gaming monitor for just $160.
