About the Role
This is a full-time role as a Founding Engineer at Hadrius, located in New York, NY. As a Founding Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the core functionalities of the Hadrius platform, from the simplest aspects (CRUD functionality, centering a div) to the more exciting and complex (building distributed systems and robust AI workflows).
You will work directly with the founding team to design and build the future of financial compliance – learning about and wearing every hat. We pride ourselves on having a hands off culture by having very few meetings and giving engineers a broad scope of responsibility. We’re focused first and foremost on empowering each other to do our best work, today and into the future. You’ll be on a team that works incredibly hard and seeks other exceptional people excited to do the same.
Qualifications
6+ years of professional experience as a software engineer
Promoted to senior-level or higher
Experience with cloud-based technologies and distributed systems
Proficiency in database design and management
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
Exceptional Qualifications
Financial // Financial software // Fintech experience
Knowledge of AI and machine learning algorithms
Strong experience with React, Django and/or AWS
Previously founded a company
Deep experience with LLMs for classification tasks

The founding team comes from big tech, hedge funds, and a previous exit before starting a robo-advisor (Quantbase) with thousands of clients. We expect each other to work at our best and constantly challenge ourselves to find ways to grow faster and deliver a better customer experience. The result is a tight-knit company growing rapidly as the cutting edge upstart in an old industry.
We take our work seriously but always find time to share a laugh and get to know each other on a personal level. The team is largely remote, but our main office is in New York City on Wall Street where you’ll be working a few days a week. We will frequently get together – either in NYC, or SF, or at a week-long Airbnb in some cool location, to work together in-person 3-5 times a year.
