Honor is expected to make its return to the Indian market soon. The brand has been out of the spotlight in the country for a while now, since Huawei’s Google ban back in 2019.
However, since going independent, Honor has managed to retain Google’s mobile services and has been plotting its comeback in international markets. And now, Gaurav Chaudhary, better known as Technical Guruji, claims that Honor will launch a new smartphone in India soon.
Honor 90 Launch Date in India
According to the renowned YouTuber, the phone in question will be the Honor 90, which is said to hit Indian markets in September. While no official launch date was provided, the return of Honor in the Indian market will spark further competition, particularly in the mid-range.
To recall, the Honor 90 has already been released in international markets. Chaudhary also shared some specifications of the upcoming Honor 90, which align with that of the global variant.
Honor 90 Specifications
The global version of the Honor 90 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The handset runs Android 13 with MagicOS 7.1 on top. The device packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 66W fast charging support.
The Honor 90 also sports a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 1200 x 2664-pixel resolution and a pixel density of 435 PPI. Moreover, the screen boasts a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. The display also features curved edges, giving the device a premium look.
For optics, the Honor 90 boasts a triple-camera setup on the back that is headlined by a 200 MP sensor. The main camera is paired with a 12 MP ultrawide lens and a 2 MP depth senor. Up front, the Honor 90 gets a 50 MP selfie camera.
