According to a tipster on Weibo, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max are getting a substantial camera upgrade. The former is supposed to get a new 48MP ultrawide camera with better capabilities, while the latter is also getting the 15 Pro Max’ 5x Tetraprism telephoto module.
These corrobate previous rumors of 5x zoom camera on the 16 Pro from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. And as for the 48MP ultrawide rumor, it emerged in October last year.
The Weibo post clarifies that the 16 Pro Max won’t get a zoom upgrade, though, so the two Pros will have a matching telephoto camera this year.
