Microsoft makes Copilot available for iOS and iPadOS (Image source: Microsoft)
Microsoft introduced its Copilot app for Android at the beginning of last month. At the core, it gave Android users free access to DALL-E 3 and GPT-4. It’s now finally available for iPhone and iPad users. Both versions are currently up on the Apple App Store and are free to download.
Earlier last month, Android users got yet another AI-powered app they could use on their devices. This new app, called Microsoft Copilot, works similarly to the ChatGPT app from OpenAI, but it can generate both texts and images as it’s powered by the latest GPT-4 and DALL-E 3 models.
For those wondering, the Copilot app is basically a rebrand of Microsoft’s Bing Chat app. With this rebranding, the company is aiming to offer a standalone experience.
Nonetheless, at the time of release, the Microsoft Copilot smartphone app was exclusive to Android. But that changed yesterday because the AI-powered application is now available for iPhone and iPad (10th Gen curr. $349 on Amazon) users too. Both versions are currently available for download from the Apple App Store (accessible via this link). It should also run on Apple Macs that are powered by an Apple silicon.
In case you didn’t have the chance to try out the Microsoft Copilot app before, it’s free to download and use. On top of that, the app doesn’t require you to sign in. That means you can get started right after installing the application on your device.
