The new Xbox Series S with 1TB of storage is making its way to India. Microsoft showcased the Xbox Series S earlier this month at its Xbox Games Showcase event. And now, the console is making its way to India.
An official listing for the Xbox Series S with 1TB of storage has popped up on Microsoft’s Xbox website in India. The listing gives us all the information about the console’s price and launch date.
Xbox Series S 1TB SSD Price, Launch Date India
The Xbox Series S 1TB price in India is set at Rs 38,990. To recall, the original Xbox Series S with 512GB of storage currently costs Rs 34,990. Microsoft says this is the ERP for the Xbox Series S with 1TB of storage, which means the actual price may vary depending on retailers.
Additionally, the website also confirms that the Microsoft Xbox Series S with 1TB of storage will be available in India from September 1, 2023, which is the global launch date of the console. The Xbox Series S with a 1TB SSD is offered in a matte Carbon Black finish.
Xbox Series S Features
With the aim at 1440p gaming at 60fps, the Xbox Series S is an excellent substitute for the bigger Xbox Series X. It comes with an 8-core AMD CPU based on Zen 2 architecture and an AMD RDNA 2 GPU.
It also shares a lot of the same features with the Xbox Series X, including hardware accelerated real-time ray tracing support, a variable (refresh rate up to 120Hz), Quick Resume, ultra-low latency, and Smart Delivery.
Xbox Game Pass Price Hike
Microsoft is also set to raise the price of the Xbox Game Pass in India. The Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Game Pass for consoles will see a price hike of up to Rs 50 in India, according to MySmartPrice.
This will take the price of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to Rs 549 a month and the Game Pass to Rs 379. The new pricing will come into effect from August 13. The Xbox Series X could also get a price hike in India.
