Motorola Razr 40, Razr 40 Ultra launched in India: Check Price, Specifications, Availability

Motorola has officially unveiled its new foldable Razr smartphones in India. The Motorola Razr 40 series was unveiled in China and globally back in June. And now, the Motorola Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra have made their way to India.

The line-up includes the Motorola Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra. The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra features the largest cover display on a clamshell folding smartphone to date. The Motorola Razr 40 series is also “made in India”.

Motorola Razr 40 Series Price in India

The Motorola Razr 40 price in India is set at Rs 59,999 for the sole 8GB/256GB variant. The Motorola Razr 40 comes in Sage Green, Vanilla Cream, and Summer Lilac colour options. ICICI Bank credit card holders can avail a discount of Rs 5,000 on the Motorola Razr 40.

The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra price in India is set at Rs 89,999 for the sole 8GB/256GB model. The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra comes in Infinite Black and Viva Magenta colour options. ICICI Bank credit card holders can avail a discount of Rs 8,000 on the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra.

Motorola is also offering Jio benefits worth up to Rs 15,000 on the two devices. The Motorola Razr 40 series will go on sale in India through Amazon during the platform’s Prime Day 2023 sale on July 15 at 12:00 am (IST). However, customers can pre-book the any of the two Razr 40 series smartphones on Amazon for just Rs 999.

Motorola Razr 40 Specifications

The Motorola Razr 40 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The phone packs a 4,200 mAh battery with 30W wired fast charging support and 8W wireless charging. It uses the same software as the ‘Ultra’ model.

The Razr 40 sports a 6.9-inch FHD+ POLED LTPO display with 1,400 nits of peak brightness. The panel boasts a 144Hz refresh rate and supports HDR10+. The Moto Razr 40 has a much smaller outer 1.5-inch POLED screen. The phone uses an aluminium frame and Gorilla Glass 7 back panel.

For optics, the Razr 40 Ultra gets a dual-camera setup with a 64 MP primary camera sensor with OIS and a secondary 12 MP ultrawide unit that doubles as a macro lens. On the front, there’s a 32 MP selfie camera.

Motorola’s clamshell foldable phone features dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. The Motorola Razr 40 boasts a side-mounted fingerprint reader and an IP52 splash-resistance rating. Connectivity options include 5G, WiFi-6E, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C port, and NFC.

The Moto Razr 40 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The device runs on Android 13 out of the box with the MyUX skin. The Razr 40 Ultra packs a 3,800 mAh battery with 33W wired fast charging and 5W wireless charging.

The Razr 40 Ultra sports a 6.9-inch FHD+ POLED LTPO display with 1,400 nits of peak brightness. The panel boasts a 165Hz refresh rate and supports HDR10+. The Moto Razr 40 Ultra has a large outer POLED display with a 3.6-inch screen size.
