The MSI Katana 17 has received a hefty US$200 discount on Amazon, bringing its price down to US$1,199- the cheapest it has been listed for until now. It features a 17-inch 144 Hz screen, an Intel Raptor Lake-H processor and 32 GB of RAM.
A few GeForce RTX 4060-powered laptops have received hefty discounts this Black Friday, such as the Asus ROG Strix G16 (2023) and Acer Predator Helios 16. Both featured the same class of Raptor Lake-HX processors. They are now joined by the MSI Katana 17, which has also fallen to its lowest price ever.
The MSI Katana 17 can be purchased on Amazon for a low price of US$1,199. It features an Intel Core i7-13620H processor, 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB NVMe SSD. Both the memory and storage can be easily upgraded by a tech-savvy user. Other specs include a 53.2 Wh battery, Wi-Fi 6, and a 17.3-inch FHD (1,920 x 1,080) IPS panel clocked at 144 Hz.
It is important to note that the GeForce RTX 4060 found in the MSI Katana 17 maxes out at 105 Watts instead of the usual 140 Watts found in its competitors. However, our in-depth review confirmed it still managed to play AAA games at well over 60 FPS at 1080p and maxed-out settings. You’re essentially giving up some raw firepower for a larger 17-inch screen and 32 GB of RAM.
