A renowned leaker has provided new details about rumoured prices of the Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9 Plus and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. Launching on July 26 during Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event, the trio may only feature modest price uplifts from their predecessors, contrary to earlier reports.
Leaker @_snoopytech_ has offered insights into Galaxy Tab S9 series pricing, roughly two weeks before Samsung officially unveils its next flagship tablets. Previously, SamInsider shared a screenshot of a third-party European retailer that had listed four Galaxy Tab S9 series SKUs for an average markup of 20% over their predecessors. However, @_snoopytech_ suggests that this might not be the case in all markets.
Instead, the leaker asserts that the Galaxy Tab S9 series will start at CAD$1,099.99 (~US$835), a CAD$100 (~US$76) increase over the original MSRP cheapest of the Galaxy Tab S8. According to the leaker, the Galaxy Tab S9 will feature a minimum of 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage too, matching its predecessor. Conversely, while Samsung sells entry-level Galaxy Tab S8 Plus and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra models with 128 GB, @_snoopytech_ only mentions 256 GB variants.
Specifically, the Galaxy Tab S9 Plus and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra are said to retail for CAD$1,349.99 (~US$1,024) and CAD$1,599.99 (~US$1,176), respectively, both with 12 GB of RAM. In other words, the Galaxy Tab S9 Plus and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra will price match the equivalent 256 GB versions of their predecessors. With that being said, there would be an effective CAD$100 (~US$76) increase for both sizes if Samsung drops 128 GB SKUs. Samsung will showcase the Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9 and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra on July 26 alongside the Galaxy Z Flip5, Galaxy Z Fold5 and the Galaxy Watch6 series.
