NIO’s Second Advanced Manufacturing Base Is Open to the Public

On October 20th, NIO‘s second advanced manufacturing base officially opened to the public. NIO App users can search for ‘NIO Manufacturing Exploration’ in the app to access the exclusive page and make a reservation for the limited spots available on the ‘Open Day’ 30 days in advance. Each ticket costs 500 points.

The NIO Second Advanced Manufacturing Base is the first electric vehicle manufacturing base in China to receive dual certifications of ‘Industrial Green Building Three-Star’ and ‘LEED GOLD’. It integrates various spaces such as the NIO Center, Employee Center, and Intelligent Driving Experience Track. By implementing distributed photovoltaics, it can save 25% of electricity used for factory production.

The second advanced manufacturing base of NIO adopts various cutting-edge technologies such as the ‘Tiangong’ intelligent manufacturing management system, the ‘Magic Cube’ vehicle access platform, and the ‘Enclave’ automated assembly island. It achieves efficient and flexible production, capable of meeting 3,592,320 personalized configuration combinations. From placing an order to delivery, it only takes 21 days for customers. The 756 robots in the body workshop are fully automated.

The second advanced manufacturing base of NIO started construction on April 29, 2021 and officially went into production on September 26, 2022. It is located in the NeoPark Hefei Xinqiao Intelligent Electric Vehicle Industrial Park.
