The nubia Z50S Pro is arriving on July 20, and today the ZTE brand showed the design of the new phone. The company also revealed some key specifications like the chipset, screen resolution and battery capacity.
The main camera of the Z50S Pro should come with a new custom-made main camera with a 35 mm equivalent focal length and 1″-type sensor, and we assume it is an evolution of the 35 mm camera on the nubia Z50 Ultra from earlier this year.
All the renders reveal the Z50S Pro is a standalone device, not having much in common with the vanilla Z50 or the mighty Z50 Ultra. This phone will come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, but the screen will miss features such as curved sides or an under-display camera, seen in the other two flagships.
Official teasers also revealed 80W fast charging for the 5,100 mAh battery, a 6.78″ screen with “1.5K resolution”, which is 1220p, and the panel would have a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.
ZTE nubia Z50S Pro
The new 35 mm camera will be the main talking point of the nubia Z50S Pro. It will have a 1G+6P lens which is a seven-piece aperture with one glass and six plastic elements. We do not know anything about the sensor behind the lens yet, but the company did confirm the actual opening of the aperture will be 5.21 mm in diagonal, claiming it is “the biggest in the industry”.
