On January 23rd, OnePlus held a launch event in New Delhi, officially introducing the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R smartphones to the overseas market, along with the true wireless earphones OnePlus Buds 3. These two phones were first released in China at the end of last year as the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus Ace 3 respectively, and their configurations remain unchanged for the overseas market.
OnePlus 12 is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which offers a 30% improvement in CPU performance and a 25% improvement in GPU performance compared to the previous generation, the 8 Gen 2. It can be configured with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. In terms of display, it features a 6.82-inch LTPO 4.0 AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1440×3168 pixels, supporting a refresh rate of up to120Hz. The peak brightness reaches up to 4500 nits, while the overall brightness reaches 1600 nits.
In terms of the camera, the OnePlus 12 is equipped with the fourth-generation Hasselblad mobile imaging system. The main camera features a 50MP Sony IMX808 sensor with a large 1/1.4-inch size and a 23mm f/1.6 lens. The telephoto lens has a focal length of 70mm (3x optical zoom) with an aperture of f/2.6, using an OmniVision OV64B sensor that supports 6x hybrid zoom and up to 120x digital zoom. The ultra-wide-angle lens is 48MP with a 14mm f/2.2 lens and supports phase detection autofocus. The front-facing camera is 32MP with an aperture of f/2.4.
In terms of heat dissipation, the OnePlus 12 adopts the TianGong Heat Dissipation System Pro, with a dual VC heat dissipation area of up to 9140 square millimeters, greatly improving heat dissipation efficiency. In terms of network connectivity, the OnePlus 12 adopts a comprehensive antenna design with a total of 16 antennas, providing better signal reception capability. Additionally, the OnePlus 12 also supports IP65 waterproofing.
In terms of battery life, the OnePlus 12 is equipped with a 5400mAh battery and supports 100W SUPERVOOC wired charging and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging. With 100W charging, it can be fully charged in just 26 minutes. It should be noted that the North American version will come with an 80W charger, which takes about 30 minutes to fully charge.
The OnePlus 12R focuses on providing a flagship experience while also considering cost-effectiveness. It is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, with the highest configuration featuring 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage. In terms of heat dissipation, it adopts the Tian Gong Pro cooling system, which has the same heat dissipation area as the OnePlus 12 but improves by 76% compared to the previous generation OnePlus 11R.
In terms of the screen, the OnePlus 12R is equipped with a 6.78-inch 1264×2780 LTPO4 AMOLED panel, supporting a refresh rate of 120Hz. The peak brightness reaches up to 4500 nits, with a global brightness of 1600 nits. It is worth mentioning that the OnePlus 12R surpasses the OnePlus 12 in battery capacity, featuring a massive 5500mAh battery, which is also the largest battery capacity in OnePlus history. In terms of charging, the OnePlus 12R supports wired charging at up to 100W SUPERVOOC but does not have wireless charging capability. Additionally, the inclusion of SUPERVOOC S charging management chip ensures at least 1600 charge-discharge cycles, equivalent to over four years of usage lifespan.
In terms of the camera, the OnePlus 12R features a 50MP Sony IMX890 main sensor with a large 1/1.56-inch size and a 24mm f/1.8 lens, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens. The front-facing camera is equipped with a 16MP f/2.4 lens. Additionally, the OnePlus 12R supports IP64 dust and water resistance.
OnePlus 12R offers two color options: bright blue and matte gray, with a starting price of 699 euros (approximatly $760). OnePlus 12, on the other hand, comes in green and black color variants, with a starting price of 949 euros (approximatly $1,031).

In addition to smartphones, OnePlus has also brought its true wireless earphones, the OnePlus Buds 3, to the overseas market. It adopts a dual dynamic driver unit design and supports up to 49dB active noise cancellation. The appearance is similar to the Buds 2 Pro but with a smoother surface. The Buds 3 is equipped with three microphones and has a touch-sensitive area on the earphone stem. It supports IP55 waterproofing and is priced at 99 euros (approximatly $108).
