The Oppo Pad Neo is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 with eight cores and a clock speed of up to 2.2 GHz. The manufacturer combines this with 6 or 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage space. The model with more RAM is also equipped with a 4G/LTE modem and is thus independent of Wi-Fi 5.
Other specs of the new tablet from Oppo include Bluetooth 5.2, Dolby Atmos speakers, front and rear cameras with 8 MP each (f/2.0) as well as facial recognition and ColorOS 13.2. The design of the Oppo Pad Neo is reminiscent of the Oppo Pad 2. Lastly, the tablet is offered with the Oppo Pad Neo Smart Case.
Price and availability
In Malaysia, the Oppo Pad Neo with 6 GB in the WLAN version costs RM 1199, which is the equivalent of around $258. The top model with 4G and 8 GB RAM is priced at RM 1399, which is the equivalent of around $300. Unfortunately, it is not yet clear if and when the Oppo Pad Neo will be launched outside Malaysia.
