After launching the POCO X6 series, Xiaomi is off to the next launch with the Redmi Note 13 series, comprising the Redmi Note 13, Redmi Note 13 5G, Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G, they feature significant upgrades from their previous models that continue to make them serious contenders to similar price segment devices.
The Redmi Note 13 series feature 6.67-inch AMOLED displays across the board with 120Hz refresh rate and 1800 nits peak brightness, they also come with large batteries with respective fast charging wattages.
Meanwhile, Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G is the first Redmi Note phones to be IP68 water and dust resistant, while the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 13 5G and Redmi Note 13 are IP54 water and dust resistant.
Powered by a Mediatek Dimensity 7200 Ultra processor, Xiaomi has beefed up the processing power of this phone and is up to 60% faster than the previous model, it is paired with 12GB of RAM and storage options of 256GB and 512GB.
Design wise, it features an iconic two-tone design with a glass back and aluminum frame, which users will find it as premium as an expensive flagship device.
While it shares a similar screen size with the rest of its siblings, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G uses a dual curve edge glass that’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, it also pushes a higher 1.5K resolution at 120Hz compared to FHD+ on the previous model.
In terms of cameras, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G’s 200MP camera receives OIS that isn’t available previously, the camera offers up to 2x and 4x in-sensor lossless zoom, while capable of taking stabilized 4K videos, it is also assisted by an 8MP ultrawide camera and 2MP macro camera.
The phone is fitted with a 5000mAh battery that supports 120W Xiaomi HyperCharge.
Sporting the same camera setup as the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G, the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G features a flat 6.67-inch 1.5K CrystalRes AMOLED display that refreshes at 120Hz, it is however powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, paired to either 8GB RAM+256GB storage or 12GB RAM+512GB storage combos, it is fitted with a slightly larger 5100mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging.
Xiaomi continues to cater for the sub RM1000 phone market with the Redmi Note 13 5G and Redmi Note 13, since they feature different connectivity capabilities, they are powered by different SoCs.
The Redmi Note 13 5G is powered by a Mediatek Dimensity 6080 processor, while the Redmi Note 13 is powered by a Snapdragon 680 processor, both phones come in storage options of 6GB RAM+128GB Storage and 8GB RAM+256GB storage.
Camera wise, both phones feature a 108MP main camera that’s assisted by an 8MP ultrawide camera and 2MP macro camera, a 16MP front camera takes care of selfies.
Juiced by a 5000mAh battery, both phones come with 33W fast charging.
Interestingly, the Redmi Note 13 comes with an in-screen fingerprint scanner while the Redmi Note 13 5G comes with a side fingerprint reader for securing your device.
The Redmi Note 13 series will be available on all Xiaomi official stores, Lazada and Shopee on 20th January 2024 onwards with the following prices and promotions:
