Teased early last week, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888-powered Samsung Galaxy S21 FE has been silently relaunched in India yesterday. As expected, the price is INR 49,999 (roughly US$610) for the model with 8/256 GB, which is the only hardware setup available and comes with five color options.
Although Samsung India advertises it as a handset with a pro-grade flagship camera, super-fast processor, and stamps the “all thing epic” label at the end of the product’s description, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 inside didn’t receive any welcoming party. This handset was introduced on the Indian market silently yesterday when the official product page simply surfaced online without any fanfare.
Unsurprisingly, the list of specs and features contains no surprises. The “new” handset is the same one that visited our labs last year for an in-depth review that concluded the following: “The Fan Edition of the Galaxy S21 impresses in the test, but it will have a hard time competing against the in-house contenders at this MSRP, especially since the S22 series is already on its way.”
The re-launched Galaxy S21 FE 5G with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 does not come cheap, since it currently has a price tag that reads the equivalent of US$610. Back in 2022, this handset launched in the Western world for a slightly lower price. The color choices available in India now for this handset are Olive, Navy, Graphite, Lavender, and White.
Sadly, it looks like the re-launched Galaxy S21 FE 5G will only get updated to Android 14, maybe 15, while the standard variant could go all the way to Android 16. However, this should be taken with a grain of salt for the time being because Samsung India has not replied to Android Authority’s question yet.

In my early school days, I hated writing and having to make up stories. A decade later, I started to enjoy it. Since then, I published a few offline articles and then I moved to the online space, where I contributed to major websites that are still present online as of 2021 such as Softpedia, Brothersoft, Download3000, but I also wrote for multiple blogs that have disappeared over the years. I’ve been riding with the Notebookcheck crew since 2013 and I am not planning to leave it anytime soon. In love with good mechanical keyboards, vinyl and tape sound, but also smartphones, streaming services, and digital art.
