A typically reliable leaker has shared details about Samsung’s planned launch colours for the Galaxy S24 series. Due in January 2024, the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Ultra are all rumoured to be available in four identical launch colours with three additional online exclusive colours too.
Earlier this week, display specifications for all Galaxy S24 flagships emerged online. Covered separately, the report alleged that Samsung would adopt LTPO AMOLED panels across the board, with the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 Ultra all using Samsung Display M13 panels. The switch to new display panels should also ensure higher peak brightnesses compared to the Galaxy S23 series, albeit still a few hundred nits shy of the OnePlus Open.
Allegedly, Ross Young has obtained information about Samsung’s launch colours for its next flagships, roughly a year on from a similar pronouncement about the Galaxy S23 series. For context, Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), he accurately revealed that Samsung would offer the Galaxy S23 trios in Beige, Black, Green and Light Pink, which Samsung sells as Cream, Phantom Black, Green and Lavender, respectively.
This time, Young alleges that Samsung has developed the Galaxy S24 series in Black, Grey, Violet and Yellow finishes. For reference, these will be the colour options that Samsung supplies to third-party retailers, such as Amazon and Best Buy. As always, Samsung will earmark additional colours as online exclusives, said to be Light Green, Light Blue and Orange. Currently, the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 Ultra are all rumoured to debut in January, approximately a month before the first anniversary of their predecessors.
