The Galaxy Tab S9 FE may still be months away from being released. However, leaker @OnLeaks has already shared CAD-based renders of the tablet, building on an earlier leak relating to the larger Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus. The Galaxy Tab S9 FE appears to be a cheaper alternative to the Galaxy Tab S9 with an 11-inch display, an Exynos 1380 chipset and 6 GB of RAM.
Yesterday, @OnLeaks shared renders of the Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus, a presumed 12.4-inch tablet that will directly succeed the Galaxy Tab S7 FE. For reference, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus will serve as a cheaper option to the Galaxy Tab S9 Plus, which Samsung is expected to announce later this month at its next Galaxy Unpacked event. The July 26 event will also showcase the Galaxy Tab S9 and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, as well as the Galaxy Watch6 series, Galaxy Z Flip5 and the Galaxy Z Fold5.
Now, the same leaker has revealed initial renders for the Galaxy Tab S9 FE, likely the cheapest model in the Galaxy Tab S9 series. Based on earlier leaks, Samsung plans to equip the Fan Edition-branded tablet with the Exynos 1380, a 5 nm chipset that we tested earlier this year in the Galaxy A54 5G. According to our database, the Cortex-A78 and Cortex-A55 CPU cores help the Exynos 1380 outperform the Snapdragon 750G by approximately 30%, as does its Mali-G68 MP5 GPU.
Samsung will also offer the Galaxy Tab S9 FE with 6 GB of RAM. Supposedly, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE measures 254.3 x 165.8 x 6.7 mm, which would make it less than 1 mm larger than the Galaxy Tab S8 on all sides. Hence, we suspect that Samsung will equip its smaller FE tablet with an 11-inch display, matching the Galaxy Tab S9. The Galaxy Tab S9 FE is the spitting image of its flagship counterpart too, save for what appear to be slightly thicker display bezels. Currently, Samsung is rumoured to have planned an October launch for the Galaxy Tab S9 FE, along with a Plus model and the Galaxy S23 FE.
