A retailer has revealed European pricing for select Galaxy Tab S9 series SKUs. Seemingly, Samsung plans to increase prices compared to last year’s Galaxy Tab S8 series, with roughly 20% higher MSRPs across the board.
Alleged pricing details for Galaxy Tab s9 tablets have emerged online, courtesy of SamInsider. For reference, Samsung is expected to release a trio of flagship tablets under the series on July 26, with Fan Edition (FE) branded editions due a few months later. Additionally, Samsung will showcase the Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9 Plus and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra alongside the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5, European prices for which have also recently leaked.
Incidentally, this year’s smallest Galaxy Tab S model ships with fewer rear-facing cameras than its predecessor and the rest of the Galaxy Tab S9 series. Nonetheless, the Galaxy Tab S9 start at €929.95, including VAT, approximately a 21% uplift over the cheapest Galaxy Tab S8. As the screenshot below shows, Samsung only includes 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage and Wi-Fi connectivity for this price, with more memory alone taking the 11-inch tablet over €1,000. Presumably, Samsung will charge in excess of €1,100 for a cellular connectivity option that also has 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Tab S9 Plus will retail for €1,149 with the same amounts of storage and RAM, another 21% increase compared to its predecessor, which started with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Likewise, this year’s ‘Ultra’ model appears to cost 19% more than last year’s, with Samsung charging €1,369 for a Wi-Fi-only version that has 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Please note that prices may vary between Eurozone members because of VAT rate differences; Unfortunately, SamInsider has not revealed to which Eurozone member these prices apply. Regardless, all Galaxy Tab S9 models will ship with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipsets and rumoured to adopt Dynamic AMOLED panels across this board, unlike their Galaxy Tab S8 predecessors.
