Samsung’s 27-inch ViewFinity S80TB monitor (model S27B804TGN) recently dropped to US$329.99 on Amazon US. It features a 4K UHD IPS panel with 10-bit color depth and has a couple of Thunderbolt 4 ports with up to 90 W of power delivery, allowing users to daisy chain a second monitor.
Samsung launched the refreshed Viewfinity S8 monitor series with Thunderbolt 4 connectivity almost a year ago. Now, the 27-inch version can be had for just US$329.99 on Amazon, a 43% drop from its list price of US$579.99.
The ViewFinity S80TB features an IPS panel with a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 and a 60 Hz refresh rate. It has a 10-bit color depth and accepts an HDR10 signal, although the brightness tops off at just 350 nits.
When it comes to connectivity, the monitor comes with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI 2.0, a LAN connector, three 5 Gbps USB-A ports, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. One of the Thunderbolt ports supports 90 W fast charging to power a laptop, while the second one can deliver 15 W, meaning that users can connect Thunderbolt accessories or daisy chain a second 4K monitor.
The stand allows you to tilt, swivel, and pivot the monitor, and it has a height adjustment range of 120 mm. Other notable features include VESA mounting holes, built-in speakers, and an integrated ambient light sensor that can automatically adjust the monitor’s brightness and color temperature based on the environment.
